Once upon a time, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson was synonymous for raised eyebrows, the “People’s Elbow” and continual usage of the term “Jabroni.”
Now he’s known for being one of the country’s most successful and sought after actors. In 2013 alone, The Rock appeared in five films: Fast & Furious 6, G.I. Joe: Retaliation, Pain & Gain, Snitch, and Empire State. And according to Forbes, those movies added up to $1.3 billion at the global box office. The movies’ ticket sales also earned The Rock the top spot on Forbes’ “Top-Grossing Actors of 2013” list.
Others on the list include Robert Downey, Jr. (Iron Man), Steve Carell (Despicable Me 2, Minions, The Way Way Back and The Incredible Burt Wonderstone), Sandra Bullock (Gravity, The Heat), Vin Diesel (Fast & Furious 6) and a few others. Check out the complete list here.
