Zoe Life: Being Haitian in America

In this mini-documentary, Florida rapper Papa Duck shares what it was like growing up Haitian in America — from the struggles of identity and discrimination to the pride of being a “Zoe.” We also explore the rise of Zoe Pound, a street organization founded by Haitian immigrants in Miami that expanded across the U.S. and into other countries. Additionally, the unity, brotherhood and respect that helped shape the Zoe movement, Papa Duck’s commitment to giving back to Haiti, as well as the ongoing challenges many Haitians face today — including deportation and immigration policy — are addressed in this video.
