Upset by the fact that his latest album, The Gifted, didn’t receive a spot on Complex Magazine’s “The 50 Best Albums of 2013” list, Wale threatened to come to the headquarters and “start knocking niggas the fuck out.”
He made the threats during a phone call with a member of the Complex staff. During the conversation, Wale also made accusations that the magazine had a personal bias toward him. However, the staff member calmly denied the accusations and assured him the list was formulated through votes from various members of the editorial staff. Check out the conversation below.

A few days after the conversation hit the web, Wale did an interview with New York’s Hot 97 morning show to share his thoughts on the conversation. And instead of being apologetic, he pretty much reemphasized his points and claimed that many of the artists named on Complex’s list aren’t as passionate musically as him.
