It’s been a drought on music from Oakland emcee Young Lox since early 2013, but it officially ended when he unveiled his long-overdue Illest album to the world. Over the course of 15 songs, Lox lyrically reminds people why he holds a spot among the top spitters creating Bay Area mobb music.
One of the tracks off Lox’s latest project is “Illest Shit,” which showcases him cleverly reflecting on his lifestyle over a beat with a dope, dated sample.
