Supa Villain’s “Declaration Of Independence”

Picture

Gulfport, Mississippi rapper/producer Supa Villain dropped his thought-provoking, speaker-pounding FreeLANCE mixtape back in 2012. Villain, who received a large amount of attention for his production on several of Alabama spitter Rich Boy’s mixtapes, showcased not just his skills behind the boards, but lyrical tenacity on his FreeLANCE project.

One of my favorite songs on FreeLANCE is titled “Declaration Of Independence.” On the track, Villain paints a vivid picture of his relentless grind over a jazzy melody in-between snippets of a Will Smith interview. Check it out below.
