Young Dolph Talks New Mixtape, Declining Yo Gotti’s Co-sign

Young Dolph has come a long way since he released his debut mixtape, Paper Route Campaign, back in 2008.

Since then, he’s transitioned from enjoying a local buzz to being heard by people across the country. He’s also collaborated with some of the rap game’s hottest spitters and producers and received critical acclaim for delivering projects perfect for both the clubs and streets.

Dolph recently dropped his latest body of work, High Class Street Music 4 (American Gangster). And while in New York promoting the project, Dolph stopped by “Sway in the Morning” to talk about the mixtape, his upbringing in South Memphis, throwing “A Plus Day,” and declining Yo Gotti’s request to help elevate his career.

During the interview, Dolph also opened up about moving his family out of their impoverished neighborhood, his upcoming project, The Weed Album, and spits a freestyle. Check out the interview below.
