Throwback Thursday: Outkast’s “E.T. (Extraterrestrial)”

During a time period when hip-hop was dominated by artists glorifying street life and violence, Outkast’s sophomore album, ATLiens, brought something refreshing to the game. One of the best hip-hop projects ever, in my opinion, the album introduced listeners to a futuristic sound that hadn’t been explored.

“E.T. (Extraterrestrial) is one of the exceptional, spaced-out cuts on the project that I cherish. Both Big Boi and Andre 3000 deliver thought-provoking verses on the song. Take a listen to it below.
