Gucci Mane’s incarceration may have locked his body, but it hasn’t hindered his musical creativity.
Since his prison bid began, Gucci has managed to release multiple projects. Furthermore, the bulk of the artists he signed before taking his most recent “vacation” have gone on to dominate Atlanta’s rap scene.
Houston artist Maxo Kream briefly broke down why Gucci Mane is essential to the rap game during an interview with DJ Smallz.
Maxo said Gucci’s knack to recognize new artists, along with his undeniable talent, is why his musical presence is important.
It didn’t stop there.
Maxo also said he thinks Gucci’s release from prison will have a larger impact than Boosie Badazz’s release did back in 2014 because he’s more relevant musically.
