Following a recent lecture in Memphis, Dr. Umar Johnson talked with W.E. A.L.L. B.E. News at the Slave Haven Underground Railroad Museum about the controversial deaths of Prince and Afeni Shakur.
During the interview, Dr. Umar said Shakur dying before the release of her son’s biopic film is questionable and lessens the likelihood of Tupac being accurately depicted on screen.
With regard to Prince, Dr. Umar explains why he believes the late musical icon was murdered by Warner Bros. Records. He also touches on the controversial deaths of Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, Sam Cooke, and Tupac.
The allegations that Afrika Bambaataa sexually assaulted multiple underage males and pedophilia in the black community (and society as a whole) are other topics addressed by Dr. Umar during the interview.
