Memphis Bleek, a former member of the Roc-A-Fella dynasty, explained how he caused the legendary beef between Jay-Z and Nas.
In an interview with Vlad TV, Bleek claimed the beef started after an associate of his informed him that Nas dissed him on a freestyle. He said this led to him dissing Nas on “My Mind Right,” and Nas responding with a track that dissed the entire Roc-A-Fella collective. Jay-Z’s “Takeover” and Nas’ “Ether” soon followed afterward.
Bleek also stated that he thinks “Takeover” is better than Nas’ “Ether” diss track during the interview with Vlad TV. You can check out my thoughts on both diss records here. And you can check out the interview below.
