ILoveMakonnen’s career has been on an upswing since his “Tuesday” vibe dropped last year: Drake has signed him to his OVO Sound imprint; he’s been nominated for a Grammy; and he’s gearing up to embark on his 13-city Loudest of the Loud tour.
The eclectic artist provided Noisey with an exclusive look into his life for the website’s “Noisey Atlanta” series. During the day-long segment, Makonnen chopped it up with some of his comrades, talked about the misuse of guns, and visited hit producer Sonny Digital’s house.
