Scotty ATL’s work ethic is commendable and his style is unparalleled. In 2015, he released one of the dopest mixtapes that has entered my eardrums in a while: The Cooligan.
Scotty recently stopped by Hot 107.9 in Atlanta to talk with B High about creating the mixtape, as well as touring the nation and performing 14 shows at SXSW over a four-day period.
The independent artist talked about losing four friends in four weeks, one of which being the late Bankroll Fresh. During the interview, Scotty revealed that Fresh and himself were working on a collaborative project before Fresh’s unfortunate death.
Scotty also talked about being signed to fellow ATLien B.O.B.’s No Genre label and their joint project Live & Direct. And he opened up about why he’s committed to being blatantly honest in his music, and his goal to be among XXL’s 2016 Freshman Class.
