Cam’ron Talks “Killa Season 2,” New Reebok Sneaker, and “Killa Pink”

After two decades in the rap game, Cam’ron is still making power moves.

He’s gearing up to headline “The Smoker’s Club” tour, drop his second sneaker with Reebok, and give fans a sequel to his album Killa Season.

The Harlem hustler appeared on Hot 97’s Battle of The Beats to discuss his latest endeavors.

Cam revealed his “Fleebok 2s,” the second installment of his shoe collaboration with Reebok, are slated to come out in November. The kicks will be released in “Killa Pink,” a custom shade of pink Cam purchased after connecting with the Pantone Color Institute. And he disclosed Killa Season 2 will be the “Killa Pink version.”

He plans to market his forthcoming sneaker, album and color during National Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October. This is a smart marketing decision, considering people typically clad themselves in pink to show their support for victims of breast cancer.

During the interview, Cam also touched on his movie deal with Flavor Unit Entertainment, a production company owned by Queen Latifah and Shakim Compere. In 2013, the company signed a multi-year licensing deal with Netflix; Cam starred in the company’s Netflix film Percentage

Cam also touched on having a good ear for production, being musically diverse, and reflected on his funniest Summer Jam moment.

  1. Must be great to be a celebrity. I have always been curious what it would be like to be a celebrity and to have a lot of fans. It always seems like celebrities live the best life because they can buy anything they want. People look up to them and they get to travel the world. But I do not think that I would be able to give up my privacy to be a celebrity because it seems kind of exhausting to have paparazzi following you everywhere you go.
