Styles P. is my favorite member of street rap enthusiasts and hip-hop trio The Lox. He is also one of the best to ever touch the mic in my opinion.
His track “Holiday” on Ruff Ryders Vol. 2 is one of the tracks from S.P. I used to jam a lot coming up. An ode to his alter ego, the cut’s harsh lyrics are mellowed out by Swiss Beatz’s flawless production. (Swizz’s production during the Ruff Ryders’ reign was bonkers).
The chorus is what solidifies the track as a classic in my book.
