Anyone familiar with Detroit and its urban culture knows Cartier shades and Rolexes are extremely popular — viewed by many as symbols of success.
During a conversation with DJ Smallz, Detroit lyricist Payroll Giovanni of Doughboyz Cashout revealed why he no longer wears Cartiers. He also touched on his city’s infatuation with Rolexes, how many he’s copped over the years, and why the Rolex Presidential is his favorite watch to rock.
Payroll recently dropped Sosa Dreamz. Among other bangers, the project features the Cardo-produced track “Presi,” an ode to Payroll’s favorite Rolex.
