Kanye West Partners With Adidas

After his rant against Nike (and subsequent apology) for its unwillingness to provide him with royalties and a release date for the “Red October” edition of his Air Yeezy sneaker, Kanye West has signed a partnership with Adidas.

In an interview with Hot 97’s Angie Martinez this past November,
Kanye announced that he signed a deal with Adidas because it would provide him with royalties from the merchandise he releases. And this would also help him provide for his family.

In a press release, Adidas recently provided a statement that confirms Kanye’s claim of collaborating with the company.

“For 2014, we welcome to the adidas family one of the most influential cultural icons of this generation, Kanye West. Well known for breaking boundaries across music, film and design and partnering with our history in street wear culture and leading innovations in sport, we look forward to creating a new chapter. Details to follow.”

Only the future knows what Kanye and Adidas has in store, but if his kicks (and clothing) for the company are any similar to his success with the Air Yeezys, his journey to becoming a legend within the fashion world continues.
