Jermaine Dupri Reflects on Three Decades of Success

After three decades in the music industry, Jermaine Dupri is still poised to break artists and produce hit records.

The hit-making Atlanta native talked to The Combat Jack about his passion for hip-hop (and music in general) during a special interview at Tree Sound Studios. Beginning with the early ‘80s, JD touched on being the opening act on
the Fresh Fest Tour.

From there, he reflected on his introduction to producing and discovering acts like TLC, Kris Kross, and Da Brat. JD also opened up about his friendship with Notorious B.I.G. and Diddy, creating the legendary track “Money Ain’t a Thang” with Jay-Z, his relationship with Janet Jackson, and being a father.
