More than two years after the release of his Cilvia Demo EP, TDE’s Isaiah Rashad has returned with some new music.
The 2014 XXL Freshman is slated to drop his first full-length project, The Sun’s Tirade, Friday.
While in NYC promoting his forthcoming album, Isaiah slid by The Breakfast Club to talk about the project and what caused him to take a break from releasing music.
The Chattanooga representative also decoded the visual to his track “Free Lunch,” and addressed being criticized for purportedly emulating TDE labelmate Kendrick Lamar’s sound.
Other topics Isaiah touched on during the interview included Atlanta rapper Lil Yachty admitting he couldn’t name five songs by Tupac or Biggie; how social media has desensitized society; and what he perceives his responsibilities to be as a rap artist.
